You know what's better than a Zelda game? A free one. The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is an updated version of the classic Game Boy Advance multiplayer game. You and up to three friends can join together in a co-op adventure as you slash your way through cleverly-designed dungeons.

Once again, you'll have to save Princess Zelda, this time from the clutches of Vaati. From now until February 2nd on 11:59PT, you'll be able to download the game off the eShop for free. Multiplayer requires a copy of the game for every player, so make sure you convince your friends to download the game over the weekend.

There's also a single-player mode in case, like me, you don't have friends.

Is it still local co-op or can it be played over wi-fi? Awesome nevertheless.

Is this that weird one that they redid so that it can be played with one player since there's no ability to play MP?

It said something like "if you're playing alone you can split into 2, or play with up to 3 others on their own systems".

I've never paid for Four Swords. It was included with LttP GBA, then it was free when the 3DS came out. If this version has more, I suppose I'll have to get this one too.

This definitely needs to come to Europe.

I missed on this when it was going on in 2011, since I got my 3DS late last year.
