Disney's plans for the future of Star Wars video games are starting to take shape, and they include, in part, leveraging Disney Interactive's booming mobile business. It's already produced Tiny Death Star, and now the company is moving into the card-battling arena with Star Wars: Assault Team. It's set to hit iOS, Android, and Windows phones sometime this spring.
A post on the Disney Interactive Tumblr (via Polygon) says that it has entered limited early access. A screenshot accompanying the post shows off four of the classic trilogy protagonists--Leia, Luke, Han, and Chewie--apparently blasting some Stormtroopers.
"Collect classic characters from the Rebel Alliance and more to defeat enemies and players across the galaxy," the post reads. "Strategically deploy the team’s special tactics to battle through new graphically enhanced missions set throughout Star Wars planets and locations from the original trilogy."
