The Xbox 360 version of World of Tanks is concluding its open beta and its final release is imminent. Wargaming has announced that all of the free-to-play tank combat game's servers will be taken down on January 28 at 11PM PST, in order to prepare for a full-scale launch.

According to the announcement, servers will remain open to beta participants only after the game goes back up. In-game progress will be wiped, though any tank rewards earned during the beta period will be in each player's Garage. Players will also be able to earn avatars and achievements and begin making in-game store purchases once servers are restored.

More information on the finalized version of World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is expected later this week.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
