Weekend PC download deals: Total War declared

You may want to sit down for this one, football fans. There are no games this weekend. I know, it's hard to accept. Some people are even making up stories about some fictional, imaginary all-star game that's supposedly being played this weekend. A football game in Hawaii? That's just crazy! You're crazy, delusional football fan! So with no football to take up your time this weekend, I guess you can focus more of your time on some great PC games.

Senior Editor

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

      I'll post this PSA again:

      Buy NFS Rivals at your own risk. Your framerate will dip into the low 20's in spots, guaranteed, no matter what hardware you have. It's not optimized, and game speed is linked to framerate, so everything slows down when you hit those dips. The effect is amplified if you remove the 30fps cap.

        im not sure i could handle a racer at sub 60 fps. i dont think ive played one at below that (well maybe dips into the 50's or whatever) in a very long time.

      Alright. I'm going to come out with it.
      I worked on "The Bureau: Xcom Declassified". The story; not good. The design;had a tough time compromising with what was constantly changing down the pipe. The art; for PC, is not bad, may run like crap, but some pretty cool features in there.

      What I can tell you; is it was the one of the best jobs I've ever had, and working with some super cool people, along with the overall product, aside from it flaws, was sort of, kind of interesting that we could have made something with just a second chance. Though I'm sure that is the swan song of the industry by now.

      It's about $12 interesting if you have nothing to play at the moment. I have a key free for whomever, apologies it isn't more, figured I had a couple, but it turns out I only have one;

      So here it is;

      RYTCJ-M5CV7-B53TE

      Speaking from experience the combat is sort of cool, but wears thin pretty quick. Set it to easy and explore the environments. While a lot of them are empty corridors, the designers and artists really tried their best to instill some story telling tropes that comes off in the same light as Bioshock 2. and Minerva's Den.

        Thanks, that's some cool insight. It really sounded like a good team, it sucks you didn't get that chance to really make something new and awesome.

        Well I for one really liked the game, there were some weird flaws with but nothing that ruined the game at all. Good job and thank you
