Since Strider aims to bring his ninja skills to a new generation, it only makes sense that his most recognized enemies should do the same. A new trailer reveals some of Hiryu's most memorable enemies, while also confirming a February release for Double Helix's "Metroidvania" take on the classic franchise.

The new trailer shows off some new moves for the familiar foes. The Pooh sisters will gang up for tandem attacks, the Heavy Trooper will use heavy artillery, and the bounty hunter Solo will fly across the screen with his jetpack and unleash attacks that engulf the screen.

Strider is given a February release window at the end of the trailer below for Europe and Shacknews has confirmed with Capcom that the game will arrive in North America during that time, as well. Capcom expects to have details on a more exact release date very soon.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
