Paradox Interactive, publisher of Europa Universalis and Magicka, has pledged support for the new console generation, saying it has plans to bring games "based on existing and new brands" onto PS4 and Xbox One. CEO Fred Wester explained that "you can be a truly digital publisher on the new consoles," adding that "previously [they] were closed systems, but now I feel like they're focusing on giving gamers better experiences."

In addition to console releases, Paradox will also have more mobile releases in 2014, with the company establishing a new team dedicated to making mobile games. The publisher is also planning support for Steambox, SteamOS, and the Steam Controller.
