Assassin's Creed Liberation HD comparison screenshots

So how much better does the upcoming PS3/Xbox 360/PC port of Assassin's Creed Liberation look?

In some ways, Assassin's Creed 4 felt long one giant advertisement for Liberation, the franchise's Vita spin-off game. Lo and behold, just months after Black Flag, an HD port of Liberation will be available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. In fact, it's coming out next week for only $20. Of course, this is more than a mere HD port. The graphics have gotten a rather significant facelift, with brand new character models replacing the Vita's originals. A batch of screenshots from Ubisoft highlight the difference, as it attempts to prove that Liberation HD is a real console game--not just a port of a handheld spin-off.

Weird, would think this would be a great way to grab some next-gen sales given the barren landscape it is now as we wait for Titanfall and infamous. I know Thief is coming out real soon, really hope it's good.

The SD seems to have better lighting and more continuity in the elements, so yeah, uhhh, good job.

It does seem funny that especially the upper picture in this news post looks better in SD than in HD.

Never been interested in Ass Creed games, but this one is particularly interesting because Julian Gollop was making the Vita version so this PC port will have some of his magic in it even though the port is done by other people.
