The 'Crystal White' PlayStation Vita is now available as a standalone product. The pretty device has been available before, but only if you were willing to get it with Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation. After that stock ran out, you've been out of luck for a snowy system, until now.

It's on sale at Amazon (via Kotaku) for $199. However, the other usual retailers don't seem to have it in stock yet. It's hard to tell just how widespread availability will be since Sony itself has been so quiet about the color scheme.

Cool, glad they're still making the OLED model. The only downside to these apparently is burn in.

Speaking of oled displays I was thinking yesterday about the issue of burn in with the oculus rift and I wonder since they are now flashing in a black screen if that will basically solve the issue and it wont be a problem.

Actually now that I think of it they aren't flashing in a black screen but just turning all the pixels off from an instant. hmmm
