A white Christmas is unlikely for Los Angeles, but the magic of video games is bringing snow to Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto Online. Rockstar this morning kicked off its Yuletide celebration, with snow over the city, plenty of Christmas clothing to wear, and new filters for the camera to make your snowy selfies even fancier. Snow will sprinkle down as the event runs until January 5, Rockstar explains in the announcement blog post. Shops will sell festive wear including Santa hats, Snowman masks, Reindeer antlers, and Elf shoes, while loads of regular clothes, cars, and apartments will be on sale too. Rockstar's delivered a shiny new camera app for Christmas too, upgrading the in-game Snapmatic with loads of 'artistic' filters, borders, depth of field effects, and, ah, ah, a 'Meme Creator,' which is a fancy way of saying you can add captions. The camera's updated in single-player too. It seems the snow's starting slowly and one imagines it will start to pile up as Christmas approaches, so keep your eyes peeled if you hop online.

Just made the races a bit more trickier, but really it was just cool to play around in snow in a GTA game.
