Aksys Games has given a release date to the next game in the BlazBlue series. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will arrive exclusively on PlayStation 3 on March 25 and will release alongside the Limited Edition that was unveiled last month.

Chrono Phantasma continues the story of Ragna, on the cusp of his final mission of hunting down Terumi, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance in a 30+ hour story. The game will add five new characters to the redesigned original cast (with two more set to arrive later via DLC), as well as new game modes. The game will also feature a revamped and improved netcode, with a new ranking system that gives players a window into who they'll battle next.

The Limited Edition will retail for $79.99 and include a 40-page full color art book, a soundtrack CD, a nendroid figurine of Rachel Alucard, and a behind-the-scenes Blu-ray with developer interviews. Both the limited and first-run standard editions will feature a DLC code for Terumi.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Only if they don't like games. The PS3 has a great 2014 ahead of it.

tons of reasons to keep a PS3 around, mainly its huge library of cheap games. i don't even feel like it's that "old". it feels more relevant and powerful than the 360 at this point.

Why? You still can't play PS3 games on a PS4. PS3 super slim is one of the best console buys out today, IMO.
