When we last left the whimsically wonderful world of BIT.TRIP Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, Commander Video was preparing to please voracious Vita owners everywhere by sprinting onto Sony's splendid handheld, summarily setting a summer celebration. Unfortunately, misfortune struck our hero, causing to slip out of the summer slate. But he has overwhelmed this harrowing delay and Vita owners can now hail his handheld venture on December 17.

The Vita version from Gaijin Games will pack the power of the PC and console versions of Commander Video's content-filled quest. Runner 2's main man won't arrive on this action-packed adventure alone, as he'll also be accompanied by by his astounding associates from the Good Friends Character Pack DLC, available separately upon arrival.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
