As promised, Angry Birds Go! is now available on iOS and Android devices. It's the franchise's first foray into kart-racing territory. It is, as Rovio points out, the first time Angry Birds has ever been rendered in 3D.

The free-to-play game will let you play as either the birds or pigs, with each character having unique special powers for use in the race. You'll be able to unlock new cars, either by playing the game or buying them via microtransactions. The game will also support Telepods, to import new characters via real-world figurines.

You can download it now on the App Store or Google Play.

is this one going to be ad-infested bullshit like what they did to the Android release of the original game?

Sounds like it. The Verge review said it could be a good game but that it's ruined by constant nagging for IAP.
