Prepare to draw your swords! Indie developer Beau 'Teknopants' Blyth has released his ultra-competitive multiplayer Bushido brawler, Samurai Gunn, on PC today, published by Cards Against Humanity creator Max Temkin.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Samurai Gunn pits two to four players against each other, with each samurai getting a sword and three bullets. Precision strikes are key to dispatching your opponents in pools of blood, as players do battle on delightfully retro 2D arenas. However, you'll want to grab three friends, as the game only supports local multiplayer. The game has collected accolades from events like the Independent Games Festival, EVO 2013, and Fantastic Arcade for its fast-paced action and addicting competitive gameplay.

A Mac version should be ready soon, with PS4 and Vita versions also in the works. The PC version is available DRM-free from the Samurai Gunn website, as well as from Steam. Check out some of the samurai action in the new trailer below.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
