Terraria tunnels into Vita next week

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Vita version of Terraria, and how quickly it's approaching! The celebrated dig 'em up will arrive next week, on December 17, publisher 505 Games has announced. It'll cost $14.99, and sports cross-platform play with the PS3 edition that was released back in March.

As one would expect, it comes with controls redesigned for Vita, including the touchscreen. Beyond that, it's pretty similar to the PS3 version, with online multiplayer, leaderboards, trophies, and all that. A PS3 update went out this week to add the Cross-Play support.

While it's due in North America next week, Terraria's due in Europe this Wednesday. The Vita version was originally slated to launch in summer.

Back on PC, a festive update is in the works, including a Rudolph mount, a two-phase 'Santank' boss, egg nog, and Christmassy slimes.
