Grand Theft Auto 5 DLC to add more to Michael, Trevor, and Franklin missions

Rockstar has announced that it plans to release Grand Theft Auto 5 single-player DLC in 2014 that will give protagonists Michael, Trevor, and Franklin more missions.

Grand Theft Auto V will be getting more single-player downloadable content in 2014, which will continue the story of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. Rockstar announced the plans in a blog post, among assorted other DLC bits.

In a post on the Rockstar blog, the studio promised "substantial additions" for the trio of protagonists. It didn't mention if this will continue the story after the main campaign or be set at some other time, however.

In the multiplayer arena, Rockstar is introducing new Deathmatch and Race Creators tools this week, letting you make your own Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race, and Rally Race matches. It will be reviewing the player-created content and highlighting some as "Rockstar Verified Jobs." This will be in beta starting tomorrow, with the official release following after the kinks are worked out. December will also see the addition of Capture, the GTA take on classic CTF modes.

Are people really going to unplug their non-backwards compatible next-gen consoles and dust off their last-gen machines to download this DLC in 2014?

      PC version come on already.

Well seeing as there about 120 million ps3s / 360s out there and about 4 million ps4s / xbones i'd guess a lot of people still have those machines plugged in.

My PS3 is plugged in right next to PS4. Plenty to still play on the other one.

My PS3 sits alongside my PS4 and my Xbox 360 is still hooked up in the den. Both current-gen consoles have a stronger lineup of games and back-catalogue better than that of both next-gen consoles combined. That's reason enough.

        From the Rockstar blog post:

"GTA Online Heists. We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year."
