Lego: The Hobbit has been confirmed, after being outed by a toy set last week. It will cover the first two films in the trilogy and release in spring 2014.
Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games have confirmed the Lego Hobbit game we heard about last week. It will be available in spring 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and Vita.
Lego: The Hobbit will cover the first two Hobbit films, An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug. You'll be able to play as each of the dwarves with their own special abilities, and naturally enough, their hired "burglar" Bilbo Baggins. The quest will take you from Bilbo's Hobbit-hole to the Misty Mountains, Mirkwood, and the elf kingdom of Rivendell. Like Lego Lord of the Rings, you'll be able to gather loot and craft items.
"We are thrilled to depict the characters and environments of Peter Jackson's Middle-earth in Lego form with the Lego The Hobbit videogame,” said managing director Tom Stone, in the announcement. "Our family-friendly take on these thrilling adventures will have kids and parents playing and laughing together as they build and explore in Lego Middle-earth."
Bilbo looking mildly concerned, as always
Hey trolls, Lego the hobbit!

That just seems silly. Why a spring release, instead of a fall one where they can include the third movie too?
I didn't like how LOTR version directly ripped audio from the movie for the dialogue. It didn't sound very good quality ...
Nice. Love these lego games
