Minecraft gets one-button Twitch integration

Sharing your Minecraft experiences in real-time just became easier, thanks to the addition of one-button Twitch integration for the PC and Mac versions.

Mojang's world-building juggernaut, Minecraft, has received Twitch integration through a new update. Players on PC and Mac will now be able to show off their creations in real-time through a simple push of the F6 button, as previously detailed during this year's MineCon.

Mojang details instructions for Twitch activation through his website, which are about as simple as it comes. Simply link your Twitch account through your Minecraft account settings and adjust your quality settings from there.

There's no word on whether this feature will make it into the Linux version of Minecraft, so for now, it looks like this is limited to PC and Mac owners. On a brief aside, maybe the Shacknews community can take advantage of this new feature and share some of their own experiences from the Shacknews Minecraft server.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
