Payday 2: Armored Transport DLC adds two new heists

Crime is quite popular nowadays, so I hear, and Payday 2 certainly concurs. Developer Overkill Software yesterday launched a new DLC pack on PC, Armored Transport, which adds two new heists along with a handful of new guns (popular in criminal circles, They say), and masks of presidents including Obama and Reagan (I'm sure you can think of a political joke of your own). To celebrate, the shooter's on sale this weekend.

The heart of the DLC is the new Armored Transport heist, which is exactly what its name suggests. Players can choose where to hit the truck, as it appears in five different new maps. The core routine of robbing it is essentially the same, but the different maps mean they all play out differently. Oh, and that heist also hides plans to unlock a new train heist.

The DLC also adds a new submachine gun, pistol and assault rifle. Hit its subsite for more info.

Armored Transport is available now on Steam for $6.99, due to hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later. The base game is also on sale this weekend, down to $17.99 thanks to a 40% discount, or $53.99 for a four-pack.
