Dark Souls 2 PS3 beta rescheduled for next weekend

If you were quick enough to get into Dark Souls II's brief beta test last weekend, you were no doubt disappointed, as technical problems meant it was abruptly called off. Namco Bandai has announced it'll run next weekend instead, still at awkward hours. To make up for all this, the publisher has released a load of new screenshots.

The new plan is for testing to begin at 11pm PST on Saturday, November 9, and end at 2am PST on November 10. Yes, it is only three hours long. Still, as the beta is only expected to take 90 minutes to complete, that's just enough to try two of the pre-made characters, assuming you don't die too much. Namco Bandai says that it "has worked with all parties concerned in the beta staging process to ensure that the November 9th beta round will commence on schedule and as promised." If you downloaded the client for the last test, you're automatically in. Now look, look at all of these 27 new screenshots:

How monstrous!

I lol'd yesterday when I fired up my PS3 and it had downloaded the 1.02 patch. Nice fucking job Namco, just a little late.
