South Park: The Stick of Truth won't be waiting under the tree for you this year after all. Ubisoft announced today that the foul-mouthed Colorado kids will be pushed from December 10 to March 4, 2014.
The new date puts it a full year from its original date, before THQ's fiscal troubles caused all kinds of upheaval. That's aside from the game itself growing too big and needing some slimming down of its own.
"We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park," said Matt Stone and Trey Parker, in a statement on the Ubisoft blog. "Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we're excited to say it's taken way longer than we thought it would."
A new trailer, which dropped the date casually in its description, attempts to salve that wound with our first glimpse at gameplay footage. Spoiler: It looks like South Park, but with an RPG UI on it.

Ahhh! I thought there was something slightly amiss... yes, battle music was it. Nothing so grand as Final Fantasy Mystic...
