Commander Video is on the run again--this time, to iOS. BIT.TRIP Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is available on the App Store with a much-shorter title: BIT.TRIP Run.

BIT.TRIP Run is similar to Runner2, although it only contains the game's first three worlds (totaling 30 levels), along with 12 Challenge levels and 15 Retro levels. Levels won't be exactly identical to their PC/console counterparts, as they've been adjusted to play up Run's refined touch and swipe controls. The remainder of the game will come in a future update, at no additional charge.

Run will also feature the other versions' unlockable characters and outfits. Runner2 proved to be a toe-tapping good time when it released earlier this year on PC and consoles, but if you're looking for a more touch-oriented experience, you can pick it up from the App Store right now for $3.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
