Current-gen ain't over: the PS3 & Xbox 360 exclusives to look out for

With today's launch Batman: Arkham Origins, many seem to think the current-gen is over. This is the last game exclusive to current-gen, before cross-gen games like Assassin's Creed 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts arrive, right? Wrong! Don't get ready to box up your PS3 and Xbox 360 quite yet, as there's still many games hitting these platforms. And, because next-gen consoles don't have backwards-compatibility, these games are exclusive to the current-gen.* *PC Master Race excluded.

A brand new Gran Turismo. On your not-brand-new PS3

The Big Names A new Castlevania. A new Gran Turismo. A new Final Fantasy. A new Ratchet & Clank. DARK SOULS 2. And a new XCOM game. This is a lineup that would make any console jealous--and none of these games will be available on next-gen systems. Some are launching this holiday, while others will be available early next year. With games like this, you definitely do not want to throw away your old consoles!

Final Fantasy X is back--but not on PS4 or Xbox One

JRPG-Mania Like PlayStation 2 before it, PlayStation 3 is becoming the JRPG platform of choice. Well after PS3 launched, PS2 was home to JRPG greats--notably, Persona 4. As this generation comes to a close, we see a similar trend happening. JRPG fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.

It's a good time to be an anime fan

Fight On! If you're into fighting games, you'll want to stick around for the current-gen. Not only will you put off upgrading your gear, but you'll be able to play new and newly-updated fighting games.

Murdered has you playing a ghost detective

Everything Else Finally, there's still a number of games coming out on PS3 and 360 that don't quite fit the previous categories. Many of these games look interesting, and some of them are even free-to-play. And once again, none of them are available on PS4 or Xbox One.
