Pain was one of the first games available on PlayStation Network. It also served as a continuously evolving platform for many new PlayStation features, adding support for DLC, 3D, and PlayStation Move over time. The game had players launching various characters at objects with the goal of trying to cause as much pain as possible. It also had David Hosselhoff DLC.

At Brazil Game Show, Sony announced that the game will be re-released on PlayStation Network as a free-to-play title. Polygon reports that Argentinean studio QB9 will handle the port.

Honestly, there shouldn't be too much work necessary to make Pain work as a free-to-play game. Although the base game is $10 on the PlayStation Store, the game has over 50 add-on items for purchase.
