EverQuest Next Landmark beta sign-ups open

If you want an early peek at what EverQuest Next Landmark has to offer, it's time for a beta test. You want to join, right?

No one could have expected how ambitious EverQuest Next would be. Sony Online Entertainment's next MMO is a massive crowd-sourced fully-destructible persistent world that seems almost too good to be true. But before EQN can launch, SOE plans on releasing EverQuest Next Landmark, a tool that lets players create items for Sony Online's upcoming world.

Beta registration is open right here (via RPS).

By signing up, you'll be put into a pool of applicants. If you're selected by SOE to participate, you'll get an email and will have to accept a testing agreement. Landmark is still due this winter, but EverQuest Next is "still in the early stages of development."

The news blurb implies the beta started and the article content implies this is "new" news. Neither are remotely true.
