Somehow, Aksys Games has managed to find success in the Hakuoki series. The anime games have you courting attractive young men, and have already found their way on PSP and 3DS. Finally, you'll be able to woo bishonen on a big-screen TV--the way it was always meant to be. Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi is coming to PS3, Aksys has announced. The choose-your-own-adventure-style game lets players go after one of six guys. You play Chizuru, "a young woman who finds herself fighting alongside the infamous Shinsengumi as competing factions war for control of Japan. In the midst of all this bloodshed and chaos, will Chizuru find love?" Playing through the game once will unlock additional events that add about 20 hours of content exclusive to "Stories of the Shinsengumi," according to Aksys. Clearing that will unlock even more content, including a series of short stories that feature the cast in a modern-day Japanese high school. And if that isn't enough, there will be DLC side stories to play through as well. The game is unrated, but previous entries in the series have been rated M. Why? Well, it can sometimes get a bit sexy. No release date yet, except for "soon." It'll be available at retail and on PlayStation Network.
