After an extended session of headshots, fragging, and gibbing, you may want to unwind and watch a documentary on the plight of birds. PBS is now available on Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members.

The new app will include access to full-length episodes from shows like Frontline, Masterpiece, and Nova, as well as PBS archives and content from national and local PBS stations. The app also includes Web-original video from PBS Digital Studios.

As always, this content requires a Gold subscription to access.

If the liberal slant of PBS isn't your cup o' tea, you'll be glad to know that Fox News has also been newly added to the Xbox Live library of apps. In addition, other new apps include MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and The CW. All apps feature Kinect support, if you feel like yelling at your TV instead of using your controller.

Andrew Yoon was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

This is really cool. PBS has the best programming on TV. Hopefully they bring this to other stuff.

Oh, and PBS isn't always liberal. Some episodes of Frontline have seemed more like Neoconservative propaganda. See: the episode on the bailout of '08.

PBS' liberal slant is driven by the excessive use of facts.
