As well offering the usual faces and skin colours and hair styles and tattoos and whatnot, it lets players tweak the size of individual bodyparts from shoulders and hands to guts and bums.

"We have a dedicated team of character artists who have spent a considerable amount of time and energy developing this for the players because we understand how important it is, and I think you can really see that dedication when you create a character," art director Jared Carr said.

Developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, not series creator Bethesda, the MMORPG is due in spring 2014 on PC, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Yes, it does have subscription fees.
