Monaco is coming to Linux on October 21, along with "a ton of free/new content."
Monaco is expanding its crime network to yet another platform next week, and will bring a slew of new content along with it. Developer Pocketwatch Games has announced that a Linux version and a "a ton of free/new content" will hit on October 21.
Pocketwatch dropped the news on its Facebook (via Polygon), but didn't share much in the way of details. The new content seems destined for all platforms, since the company also teased it and a sale without mention of the Linux version. This should also follow the trend set by the Mac release, which let those who had already bought the PC version download it for free.

Just wondering, but is anyone here actually a Linux gamer? Were you unable to play this game (because you didn't have a Windows PC or Xbox) and now you're able to?

linux gamer. i bought it when it came out, played it a little bit on windows, but never really cared to reboot to play it.
i'm looking forward to the port coming out. -

I want to be a Linux gamer. I don't like having to pay for an OS with no support that isn't optimized for games.

It's more about forward thinking. This gets them on SteamOS. We, of course, don't know how SteamOS will do, but this is why a lot of Indies are making Linux ports. It's not all that difficult these days for small releases, and it makes them visible to the very small, but very vocal, Linux crowd.
Smart all around if you can afford it.

Cool, I wonder if this would run well on a Chromebook. I'm currently looking for a cheap laptop, and this would be a great game for it. Just throw a few USB gamepads in your backpack and you can have some seriously fun co-op anywhere.
