Report: Xbox greenlights soccer series for original TV content

Microsoft has big plans to bring original TV content to Xbox. Sure, it already has a live-action Halo series in mind. So, what's next? Soccer.

A new report on Deadline says Xbox Entertainment Studios has greenlit their first unscripted series, Every Street United. Each 30-minute episode of the series will take place in a different country, focusing on great, undiscovered local street soccer players. Given Microsoft's recent tie-up with FIFA, it makes sense that they'd continue to focus on that lucrative demographic.

According to Deadline, the series will feature "interactive components," something that would make the Xbox TV experience rather unique.
