"Why don't they make RPGs like they used to?" you grumble and groan, reading about one of these so-called 'new video games.' They do, of course, and in the case of Spiderweb Software, they never stopped--it's been making them since 1994. The developer has announced its latest, Avadon 2: The Corruption, will launch for PC and Mac on October 30.
Avadon 2 is the second part of a planned trilogy, though Spiderweb says it's fine if you missed the first. It slips you into the jerkin of a spy and warrior of Avadon, defending your homeland against a mysterious threat. Or switching sides to topple Avadon. Like ye olde RPGs, it has oodles of story branches, endings, items, quests, skills, and all that.
Spiderweb plans to launch in iPad version early in 2014. Hit the official site for more info.
