Now that you've had a month to work through Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, you may be ready for even more RPG revamps. Square Enix today announced HD 2.5 Remix, which crams another three games into one big tarted-up Disney crossover bundle, coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 in 2014.
The core of 2.5 Remix is Kingdom Hearts II's Final Mix, an expanded Japan-exclusive version of the PS2 game. It also packs the similarly exclusive Final Mix of the PSP's Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and the cutscenes from DS game Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (which was itself a remake of an episodic mobile game).
Square Enix is jazzing them up with new graphics, tweaked gameplay, and all that. It's a little curious that this collection isn't coming to Xbox 360 either, as Kingdom Hearts III is to wrap up the trilogy on both PS4 and Xbox One, but the series will be entirely new to staunch Xboxeers.

Think you have a typo in the article. The sentence: "It's a little curious that this collection isn't coming to PS3 either, as Kingdom Hearts III is to wrap up the trilogy on both PS4 and Xbox One, but the series will be entirely new to staunch Xboxeers." Specifically, the "PS3 either" part, think that's supposed to say Xbox 360, since this is exclusive to the PS3...
Other than that, extremely psyched about this compilation! Have another reason to keep my PS3 hooked up next year. Although, this leads me to think Kingdom Hearts 3 is not coming for a long long time... -
Wish these would come to 360 or PC, would like to play them.

I've been meaning to for a while to play all the exclusives, like The Last of Us.
