Napster Alternatives Maxed

If you were thinking of using another program to swap files, such as Gnutella or Scour Exchange, so are a few thousand other people. Since Napster was ordered to shut down today at midnight, tens of thousands of people have been going to other sites, pretty much maxing out their bandwidth. Doesn't seem like much of an alternative then, because if you have supposedly some 20 million people looking for another music swap program (swapping legal files of course) to download after tonight, don't expect those websites to work at all anymore. Of course, if you have the client already, you should be fine probably.
Also related to the Napster case, Globalscape (the company behind CuteFTP) is restricting public access to it's CuteMX service, which is a peer-to-peer file swapping program as well. They will follow the outcome of the Napster case to see what to do with their own service.

    A few months ago, I was giving a big FUCK YOU to Napster (http://www.shugashack.com/funk.y?id=181130). Only because I knew that pretty soon our fun would be over thanks to the "I gotta make it easy for all the dumbass AOL using masses out there to get their Garth fucking Brooks mp3s".

    Well my Backstreet Boy loving buddies, that day has come. well technically it comes tomorrow, but you get the idea So, SURE I will be giving a middle finger to the RIAA (those price gouging mother fuckers) but I would like to take one final moment and for the last time just say it once more...

    FUCK YOU NAPSTER

    I hope they shut down your program, site and everything else. I hope your investors sue the fuck out of you and you guys have to make a living by cleaning out the jerkoff stalls at the local porno theater.

    I'm not anti-Napster, I'm anti-makeiteasyforthemasses.

    Now, everyone go get your shit the way God intended (through the fucking newsgroups and irc!)

    and Scour Exchange for now, it's like Napster^2. I know it kind of hypocritical to plug Scour since I reamed Napster, but i'm using mini-text so it doesn't really count. fuck off :)
