Lone Survivor arrives on PS3 and Vita this week

If you didn't catch it in this week's Release List, hey, Curve Studios announced at short notice that its PlayStation port of Lone Survivor will hit PS3 and Vita on Tuesday. We were pleased by Superflat Games' original PC version last year, and this port comes jazzed up with new items, items and areas too.

"For the PlayStation version, we started with simple upgrades, like adding touch support on Vita and improving the lighting system... and things spiralled from there!" Curve marketing man Rob Clarke said in Friday's announcement. "We've added over twenty new items, new endings, and new game locations. All of them have been designed by Jasper, and all of them are made to expand on the original game seamlessly."

Lone Survivor: Director's Cut supports Cross-Buy and Cross-Save, so people who own a PS3 and a Vita need only buy it once to play across both. For some terrible reason the price is being kept a mystery for now, though it'll be discounted at launch for PlayStation Plus members, and Clarke added "it will be a similar price to other PS Vita indie titles."
