The developer plans on selling a "Digital Bonus Pack" that offers full access to the event's HD stream and all the digital goodies that attendees of the real-world event will get. For $19.99, you'll be able to get SHiFT codes for Borderlands 2, access to the closed beta of a future Gearbox title, and a free copy of Homeworld HD.

According to Gearbox, Homeworld HD will be $14.99 when purchased alone. You may want to factor that when considering a purchase of their Bonus Pack.

For more information on the Community Day and to register, you can visit their official site.

      " on September 14th"

does that mean Homeworld HD will release around that time?

Not necessarily. It just means you'll get a download code that will work whenever the game comes out.

I hope not. that seems like it would be a pretty short turnaround from the announcement wouldnt it?

Yeah - but Gearbox has a spotless track-record of improving existing IP's, so I don't see what that would be reason for concern.
