In any sport, it's important to keep up to date on the new hotness. Who's the next big thing? FIFA 14 plans to help potential club managers keep tabs on rising young superstars with the Global Transfer Network, which introduces scouting to the game's Career Mode.

Clubs will be able to hire up to six scouts and send them off across the globe to look for new talent, based on criteria set by the player, like age and position. Scouts will return with information about a player's potential strengths. Just don't sit on any scouting reports for too long, because they can become outdated if left idle for too long.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I keep telling myself that I'm going to go to an every other year model when it comes to FIFA but with a next-gen system I'm going to need a sparkly-new edition.
