SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! Well... no, actually, Grid 2's Demolition Derby mode is not coming on a Sunday. The fan-requested game mode is available right now on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC as free DLC. Codemasters has released a new trailer to commemorate the pending destruction.

The Demolition Derby DLC will include the Jupiter Eagle Ray Mk 5 Demo Derby car, complete with customization options. It'll also come with the Detroit Demolition Derby Stadium, with two configurations. The stadium will feature a crossover jump, for maximum wreckage. Demolition Derby can be enjoyed in single-player, split-screen, and 12-player online multiplayer.

Watch all the motorized mayhem in the trailer below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Tried this last night, had a great time online. I don't really enjoy the base game...somthing about the physics and handling and braking is off.

      a) the original Psygnosis Demo Derby was fantastic
      b) this game's destruction modeling has needed this mode for a long time

God I loved that game! I remember drooling over pictures for months before the Playstation came out. It looked so amazing. And then finally playing it was just as fun as I hoped. Actually all of the Psygnosis games just looked and played amazing and made me a bit sad I had gone with a Saturn instead of a Playstation.
