Blue PS3 coming to GameStop on October 8

If you're in the market for a PS3, GameStop has a new Azurite Blue model it'd like to show you.

Although PS4 is coming out this holiday, there will still be people that are looking to join the current generation. A new Azurite Blue PS3 is hitting GameStop exclusively on October 8, with pre-orders opening tomorrow.

For $250, the 250GB Blue PS3 will also come with a blue DualShock 3 controller. For the more budget-minded, there's also a $199 12GB PS3, and--the best value--a Black 500GB bundle with Grand Theft Auto 5 for only $280.

  I have a dilemma it seems. I want to get a PS3 again because I loved some of the games exclusive to it, and with my recent upgrades on my PC I'm not worried about next gen, but I'm not sure buying the PS3 will be worth it.

    Advice: Hold out for Black Friday. With next-gen swinging in around that time, you should probably expect to see some great PS3 bundles on Best Buy's website or Amazon.

  I have actually been wanting this color PS3. I'd like a second one to use primarily as a Blu Ray player in another room.
  
  Still, not sure I want to buy it now with the PS4 coming out soon.

    It reminds me of the blue in the PS2 logo, which at the time felt like the blue of the FUTURE!

  Tempting, but I'm not interested in waiting until October 8th OR Black Friday. I'm replacing my broken FAT PS3 and I've been saving up for it in trades, gift certificates and other stuff. I'll be getting the $199.99 PS3 and just install the 500GB HDD from my old PS3 (I had only installed it a few months back) -- and yes, I've already ordered the hard drive caddy and the total still comes up significantly below the $270 price tag for the GTA V bundle.
  
  I can't argue that the GTA V bundle isn't the best value for most folks, but considering I already have GTA V pre-ordered and paid off already for Xbox 360 in addition to a 500 GB HDD waiting to be used, it's not quite as good a deal for me.
