The upcoming Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution has all sorts of nifty new features. For example, it has second-screen features that Wii U owners can easily take advantage of, like quick inventory management and an always-on map. But there are gameplay tweaks as well, such as overhauled boss battles and audio commentary that you can play throughout the entire experience.

While originally announced as a Wii U exclusive port, a PS3, Xbox 360, and PC version is also in the works. You'll need SmartGlass or Vita to take advantage of the second screen on the other consoles, but the tweaked gameplay and new features should be appreciable to everyone that plays this re-release.

If you want to see how it all comes together, watch this video playthrough of a level from the Director's Cut. With over eight minutes of footage, it's a lot to analyze.

Guys that made it are working on Thief I think. Also, a rushed sequel is never a good idea.

Thief team is a separate team within the same studio to my understanding.

As a PC gamer, how do I get this? Do I have to re-buy the game or is the Director's Cut gonna be released as DLC?

I think re-buy but for cheaper price ($30?...).

They've never specified as far as I know, but to my understanding there's been some fairly fundamental changes, indicating that it might be a new, full release, which would make me kinda sad.

I will pay them another $50 if it means those stupid f%$#ing Boss Fights aren't set up so that your only option is "shoot this guy a bunch" and the ending isn't literally a room with four buttons corresponding to which stock footage montage ending you prefer.
