In spite of the countless sequels and spin-offs, Angry Birds has never featured multiplayer. That's about to change with the upcoming console version of Angry Birds Star Wars for Xbox 360, PS3, Vita, Wii U, Wii, and 3DS.

Exclusive to Activision's port, two multiplayer modes will be available: four-player competitive and two-player co-op. Before you get carried away, do note that this is probably the least interesting way of adding multiplayer to the franchise. Instead of flinging birds at one another, it appears to be a pass-the-controller affair, with players simply taking turns launching their birds. Considering the retail version goes for up to $50, one would hope that a bit more ingenuity would've been on display.
