Twitch streaming also coming to PS4

Sony has announced Twitch integration for the PS4, triggered with the press of the DualShock 4's Share button, as a free service.

Xbox One has been touting Twitch integration since E3, but Sony is finally responding with its own Twitch announcement. As expected, access to the service requires a simple touch of the DualShock 4's "Share" button.

As previously announced, Twitch features will be available for free--no Plus membership required. (Twitch will require a Gold subscription on Xbox One, however.)

"Social capabilities are an integral part of PS4, so Twitch will play an important role in delivering a compelling connected experience to PlayStation fans," said Sony's Shuhei Yoshida in a press release. "Twitch's gamer-focused community combined with our strong portfolio of innovative PS4 titles, will help define next generation gameplay and community engagement."
