Ryse: Son of Rome gladiator multiplayer revealed

As you'd probably guessed, Crytek's Xbox One exclusive historical murder simulator Ryse: Son of Rome will indeed have multiplayer. Microsoft today revealed its 'Gladiator' mode, which throws chaps into an arena to cut each others' faces off. Well, at least it looks less like an absurd charade of QTEs than the E3 campaign demo.

Microsoft today revealed its co-operative 'Gladiator' mode, which throws chaps into an arena to cut each others' faces off. Arenas feature traps too, so you'll be fighting against those as well as men. And it has an editor to set up your own arena layouts. And you can customise your man. See the announcement for more. The post also includes more details on the intricacies of combat--which Crytek has insisted was simplified for the E3 demo.

Ryse will arrive alongside the Xbox One on launch day.
