Fan-made Mother 4 coming 'winter 2014'

It doesn't look Nintendo will ever begin work on another Mother game, so fans have taken it upon themselves to create their own, releasing a new trailer for the fan-made Mother 4.

Nintendo has expressed no interest in continuing the Earthbound series, aka "Mother" in Japan. But fans have proven quite dedicated to the franchise, even creating a translated script for the unreleased Mother 3. Fans have even taken to making an unofficial sequel, due next year.

A new trailer for the completely fan-made Mother 4 (via Kotaku) shows off many elements of classic Earthbound, from the 16-bit isometric animated world to turn-based battles against weird foes.

Mother 4 is set to release in 2014, barring any legal action from Nintendo of America's crack legal team, known to mobilize at a moment's notice.
