War of the Vikings announced for PC

Hacking men to pieces is fun and all, we know, but who really cares about the House of Lancaster and the House of York? People who live in Northern England, and no one else. So War of the Roses developer Fatshark is using more interesting murderers for its freshly-announced follow-up to the multiplayer medieval murderama, War of the Vikings.

Like its predecessor, War of the Vikings is a multiplayer-only murderfest for PC. It'll support battles of up to 64 Vikings and Saxons, all running around with era-appropriate weapons and armour, doing what Vikings and Saxons do best. This includes, of course, growing rad beards, and character customisation will extend to chin-warmers. War of the Vikings is slated for release on PC in the first quarter of 2014, published by Paradox Interactive. Hit the official site for more and sign up for the alpha if you're interested.

I've been playing a good deal of CHIVALRY lately. It's similar, and quite a bit of fun.
