It's been a long and troubled journey for SimCity on Mac, but it finally seems prepared to cut the ribbon. EA and Maxis have announced that the Mac version will be available on August 29.
As previously announced, Mac and PC players will be able to play together across platforms, or even jump back and forth into your own cities as you switch platforms. If you've already purchased the digital or boxed copy of SimCity on PC, you'll get the Mac version for free on Origin.
The Mac version was originally planned to come alongside the PC version, but it was subsequently pushed to June. Obviously that didn't happen either, as Maxis felt it was not "ready for primetime yet." Apparently late August is the new primetime slot.

Thank you for answering the question I didn't have to post.
Considering the windows folks will get this one for free..... id say 22 new sales. Maybe
I read that the next patch is planning to address bad traffic pathfinding. For, like, the third time.
