Train Simulator 2014 choo-chooses September

Funny things, simulators. They've been popular as gag gifts, bought cheap in download sales, but the giftee often ends up finding there's something satisfying about driving trains or sewing seed. So you may be secretly pleased that Train Simulator 2014 has been announced for a September 26 launch, and will be a free upgrade to current TS owners. TS2014 will update the game that launched a thousand DLC packs with an "intuitive" new interface, improvements to Career Mode, "more detailed" draw distances, and, gosh, headlight flares. Check today's announcement for more information. It'll be sold separately as the newest iteration, or simply be a free update to people who already own a Train Simulator. And yes, those billion DLC packs will be compatible with the new version.

The Southeastern High Speed service to Dover Priory, if I'm not mistaken. From St Pancras, innit?
