In 2009, Rockstar announced the PS3-exclusive Agent. Coming from GTA developer Rockstar North, Agent was supposed to be "a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s."

And then it disappeared. In 2011, Rockstar parent Take-Two said Agent was still in development. And then it disappeared again.

It appears Rockstar hasn't given up on Agent quite yet, as Siliconera has discovered two new trademarks for the game. "Perhaps Agent is making progress," the site posits.

While that may be optimistic, it's clear that Rockstar hasn't forgotten about the game. Perhaps Agent will join other long-delayed games in the next-generation of consoles?
