Gearbox isn't done with Borderlands 2 quite yet. This fall, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will expand the level cap up to 72 and will add the Digistruct Peak Challenge, a new map. This will be a $5 release and won't be part of the Season Pass.

According to Polygon, who attended Gearbox's PAX Australia panel, the Upgrade Pack will also include the "ability to over-level your game for extra challenges." We're not entirely sure what that means.

In addition, the Headhunter Pack: T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest DLC will also be coming this fall. Also not included in the Season Pass, this expansion adds a new mission and a themed boss fight featuring the titular character. Additional Headhunter Packs are due later.

If you're not so inclined to spend money, Gearbox does have some free stuff coming your way. The game will be patched with extra ammo capacity, backpack, bank slots, and more customization options.

Over-level most likely just means you can be a 72 and fight things much higher than your level....doesn't really sound fun to me.

While I don't doubt that was annoying, that's one of the best bug descriptions I've ever read.

Is this the first time they've expanded the Backpack size? It always drove me nuts that the Backpacks in Borderlands 2 were piddly in size compared to Borderlands.

It's because the guns are bigger.

Haha, yeah. For whatever reason, I want to keep guns with red descriptive text. I beat the main game but really haven't played any of the expansions even though I have a season pass. I can't pick up anything, I can only get quest rewards (which are put directly into your inventory). I have something like 45 guns in my inventory which is like 2x what you can normally hold.

Well they also give us stash space and bank vault space and the ultimate true vault hunter mode lets you increase your backpack space as well as bank space. This would be the second backpack space increase.

Eh. I currently have no interest in paying for Ultimate True Vault Hunter mode, because I haven't even finished the main campaign once... so from my perspective, the 'smaller than Borderlands 1' backpack size has always been a source of frustration.

It's a game about loot. Shit tons of loot... and they give me less room than in the first? Son, that's fightin' words.

Yikes! Tiny Tina's adventure is already hard enough in ultimate true vault hunter mode. Not sure I want to consider how much more difficult things will get.
