PlayStation 4 will support wireless PS3 headsets

Wireless headsets designed for PS3 will continue to work with PS4, Polygon has discovered. This should be a relief for owners of Sony's official wireless stereo headsets. With the headsets retailing from $100 to $150, losing compatibility with PS4 would have been a rather bitter pill to swallow.

With PS4, Sony has embraced open formats for audio communication. PS4 consoles include a mono headset in the box. DualShock 4 controllers are all equipped with a standard headset jack that allows most headsets to work with the system.

Microsoft, on the other hand, has stated that Xbox 360 peripherals will not work with Xbox One. In addition, the company isn't including a headset in the box, relegating chatting features to the bundled Kinect camera.
