The infinite(ly masochistic) Cloudberry Kingdom now has an official release date, coming July 30 to PSN before hitting XBLA, Steam, and Wii U in the forthcoming days.

Although masochistic platformer Cloudberry Kingdom is part of PlayStation Network's PSN Play promo, it won't be exclusive to PS3 for long. In fact, the debut title from indie studio Pwnee Studios will hit Xbox Live Arcade and Steam just one day after, on July 31. The Wii U eShop version will arrive a day later, on August 1. All versions will be available for $9.99 (800 MS points).

Cloudberry Kingdom features a fully random level generator that uses a complex algorithm to tune itself to the player's skill level, offering an infinite challenge level. Players can choose up to ten different heroes or create their own with the Hero Factory mode. Game modes will include Story Mode, Free Play, and Arcade Mode for up to four players.

Kevin Sorbo will be lending his voice, as well, which is appropriate, given the herculean difficulty of some of these stages, illustrated in the trailer below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
