The LEGO Movie Videogame announced

Movie tie-in games are rarely noteworthy, but the official adaptation of The LEGO Movie may well be worth our time because, well, it's made by the folks behind all the other LEGO games we've enjoyed. TT Games is bringing it to a whopping eight platforms in 2014, publisher Warner Bros. announced today.

Movie tie-in games are rarely noteworthy, but the official adaptation of The LEGO Movie may well be worth our time because, well, it's made by the folks behind all the other LEGO games we've enjoyed. TT Games is bringing it to a whopping eight platforms in 2014, publisher Warner Bros. announced today.

The LEGO Movie Videogame is based on the film, where sees a plain old LEGO chap mistaken for a grand hero and sent to save the world. It's coming to--deep breath--PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Vita, and Nintendo 3DS. And cannot spell "video game."

The game announcement included a few screenshots but hey, here's a trailer for the movie:
